Dance workshop at Durgapur, May 2014

Kathak Dharohar organised a 5 day classical dance workshop for above 50 slum and economically weaker students. No fee was charged for the workshop. Pandit Rajendra Gangani conducted this workshop. On the final day Certificates of Appreciation were provided by the Mayor, Shri Apurba Mukherjee.

Dance workshop at Almora, May 2014

Dance workshop was organised at Government Girls Inter College (GGIC), Almora , Uttarakhand from 19 to 22 May; 2014 for slum and economically weaker students. Over 130 students participated in the workshop. In the Closing Ceremony each student was awarded Certificates of Appreciation, ghungrus and books. The Director of All India Radio, the District Commissioner and the Principal of GGIC were present in the Closing Ceremony.

Dance workshop at Adra Leprosy Centre, June 2014

A dance workshop was organized in June 2014 at Adra district - Purulia, West Bengal in which above 80 students participated. All these students belonged to leprosy suffering families. It was a very sentimental experience that in this technological and high awareness age still untouchability is practiced. Former M.P. of Lok Sabha, Mr. Basudev Acharia addressed this workshop and offered to provide support. Certificates of Appreciation, ghungrus and books were provided by the Kathak Dharohar team besides giving some donations to the Manipur Leprosy Centre atAdra.
